ALDE Mission Statement
The ALDE Group must make its guardianship of Council of Europe values more effective, through enhanced political action inside and outside the Assembly.
In the Assembly our commitment to our core values will find expression in giving speeches, drafting reports, motions and electing for positions. Therefore, the ALDE Group needs to take unambiguous standpoints and defend them.
Outside the Assembly we must give support to liberals facing difficulties, stick firmly to principles and show less compromise when it comes to violations of human rights and undermining rule of law.
We must bring our message to authorities and public opinion through political statements and optimum use of media.
Through a better organised networking, eventually through virtual meetings, we share more our individual political satisfaction with other liberal-minded people and encourage them to show more active commitment to our liberal principles.
